UPDATE A funeral service will be held on:  Friday, June 19, 2020  at 12:30pm via Zoom Shiva will be held on:  Saturday, June 20 at 7pm via Zoom The Phoenix agility community and Jumping Chollas are in shock and mourning due to the loss of Myra Judd who along with her dog, Racer, died suddenly and tragically in a car accident in Phoenix on June 16, 2020. Myra was a JCAC instructor and very active in training and competing with her dogs. Condolences to her husband, Warren, her sons Robert and Kevin (Karin), sisters Roberta and Elayne, and 3 grandchildren along with all her friends and many others who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace Myra. You are missed. #myra_judd #death

And after three months of no trials due to COVID-19, the club finally ran evening trials on June 5,6, and 7th (in spite of a state-wide state of emergency curfew imposed on May 31st until June 8th) and you can find the trials results posted on our 2020 Results page. #2020 #NADAC #JCACteam #results

On May 31st at the Patch, JCAC held the last club meeting until September and the following people were elected to offices: Alice Nicholson, President Ann Hammersly, Secretary Lisa Hansen, Treasurer Wendy Hultsman, Training Coordinator Members at Large: Carol Ketcherside, Craig Coonrad and Renee Stenneart Jared Gibson, appointed Trial Chair Linda Jacobs, appointed Equipment Coordinator Alex Figures, appointed Equipment Manager Outgoing officials were Julie Grant who stepped down as long-time Treasurer and Amy Wood, secretary. Late Breaking News! - March 16/20 ​ For folks who entered the JCAC of GP indoor AKC show (or are thinking about it!) ... this show is now moved to the JCAC 2 acre completely fenced, outdoor facility (the PATCH...see picture on our website www.jumpingchollas.com) ...with plenty of room for crating so no one needs to be near each other. I will get the details out later tomorrow since I need to be at class tonight shortly. The show is supposed to close Wednesday March 18. AKC has indicated we can extend the closing for those who would want to enter or cancel. I will post a date tomorrow. We will make take every provision we can to use the best sanitation possible to keep competitors safe...while still being able to continue with a level of normalcy in their lives. Due to the large area it is very easy to keep people spread out. Also...we will not be offering lunch to workers...there are plenty of nearby places...and our snacks for workers will all be prepackaged. ​ Stay tuned. If you want to enter...the form is on the website under Events and trials. Or...you can enter on line for a slightly hire cost.
